AKI India Ltd.'s board brought back three independent directors who had resigned just three months earlier, while accepting the resignation of a director appointed in their place. Sarika Agrawal, Abdul Rashid Khan and Veqarul Amin were reappointed as additional non-executive independent directors with effect from 7 July 2026, reversing their departure on 8 April 2026. On the same day, Hardika Ladha—who had joined the board as an independent director during the April reshuffle—stepped down, citing personal reasons. The company also appointed Naba Fatima, sister of managing director Mohammad Ajwad, as an additional non-executive non-independent director. The three reconstituted board committees now have Abdul Rashid Khan as chairperson. The company, a nano-cap leather goods maker with a market capitalisation of about ₹49 crore, provided no explanation for the reappointments of the formerly resigned directors.
