Bondada Engineering has won a ₹1,338 crore EPC contract from NTPC Renewable Energy to build a 250 MW solar plant paired with a 50 MW/200 MWh battery storage system in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, the company said on Tuesday. The order, to be completed in 18 months, takes Bondada's solar EPC order book to roughly 5.5 GWp and its battery storage order book to 1.1 GWh. The project marks the company's first large-scale solar-plus-storage award from a central public sector undertaking, broadening its client base beyond the Adani Group. NTPC Renewable Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, India's largest power generator. The contract value is equivalent to nearly half of Bondada's annual revenue and more than a third of its market capitalisation.
