Pace Digitek's board approved a ₹200 crore investment to expand its battery energy storage manufacturing capacity from 2.5 GWh to 10 GWh, including a new 5 GWh facility and an in-house container fabrication unit for backward integration. The expansion will be funded through internal accruals and commissioned in phases during the current financial year. The board also approved acquiring the remaining 49% stake in subsidiary Inso Pace Private Limited from founder Venugopalrao Maddisetty, making it a wholly owned unit, and created an employee stock option plan covering up to 20 lakh shares. A new research centre in Pune, focused on clean energy technologies, was also greenlit, along with the formation of an additional wholly owned subsidiary and the appointment of retired IRS officer Maya Swaminathan Sinha as an independent director.
