Ganesh Benzoplast said the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal dismissed an appeal by Progfin Private Limited that sought to initiate a corporate insolvency resolution process against the company. The dispute stemmed from an alleged default by its wholly owned subsidiary, GBL Chemical Limited, on credit facilities for which Progfin claimed the company had issued a corporate guarantee. The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal had already rejected the insolvency petition in September 2025. Progfin's appeal was dismissed by the NCLAT in an order dated June 30, 2026, a certified copy of which the company received on July 15. The order carries no financial penalty and closes the matter.
