GTPL Hathway announced that Saurav Banerjee, its Chief Financial Officer, will step down with effect from the close of business on September 30, 2026. The company said in a regulatory filing that Banerjee, a key managerial personnel, is demitting office upon attaining the age of superannuation. GTPL Hathway has entered into a business transfer agreement with seven companies belonging to the ACT Group to acquire their cable television operations for ₹36.23 crore in cash, the company said in a stock-exchange filing. The deal, structured as a slump sale on a going-concern basis, adds roughly 600,000 cable TV subscribers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Karnataka. The acquired entities reported combined revenue of ₹164 crore for the financial year ended March 2026. GTPL expects to complete the acquisition by September 15, 2026, and described the transaction as part of its strategy to expand its cable television footprint.
