Tembo Global Industries said its subsidiary, Tembo Classic Engineering, had signed a memorandum of understanding with Belgium’s Lachaussée SA to establish an ammunition production line in India. The proposed project was valued at about €50 million and was designed to produce roughly 100 million rounds a year across two ammunition types, with deliveries scheduled for 2028 and 2029. Tembo had obtained a small-arms manufacturing licence in December 2025 and an ammunition licence covering various calibres in April 2026. Its Amravati defence-manufacturing facility was under construction. The group reported FY26 revenue of about ₹1,090 crore, with engineering and EPC accounting for roughly 85%.
